As “The Walking Dead” approaches its 8th season(!) on AMC, the series continues to evolve. Today, part of that evolution involves three of its actors being promoted to series regulars. All three have featured steadily in the past season, with one having been around for a few years now.
AMC has announced that the likes of Pollyanna McIntosh (The Woman, “Hap & Leonard“), Steven Ogg (Grand Theft Auto V), and Katelyn Nacon (“T@gged“) have been upgraded and will feature more heavily in the next run of the series. McIntosh plays ‘Jadis’, the leader of the Scavengers. I’m not well-versed in the comics, so I don’t know how important that group is in the source material, but we will clearly be seeing more of them in the coming year.
Ogg is ‘Simon’, one of Negan’s lieutenants, so his elevation to regular comes as little surprise, given the “All Out War” storyline that is headed our way. Lastly, Nacon will be entering her fourth season on the show as ‘Enid’. She wasn’t utilized as much this past year, but apparently that is about to change when “The Walking Dead” returns this October.
