It’s trailer time! Archer, the popular comedic spy series, is making the jump from FX to FXX this season. The upcoming new batch of episodes which launch the show’s eighth season are subtitled “Dreamland”. They pick up from last season’s cliffhanger, where Sterling Archer seemingly died. Judging from the period piece setting of these two new promos, he’s either entered a strange afterlife or is having one hell of a dream while he lays on life-support somewhere. The series will return sometime in late March. In the meantime, feel free to ogle these fun promos…
Next on deck we have the Netflix original event series Frontier. The popular streaming service has unleashed its first trailer for the show, which centers around America’s fur trade during the 1700s. Future Aquaman star Jason Momoa headlines the series as half-Irish, half-Native American Declan Harp, a bloodthirsty outlaw with designs on toppling a fur trade monopoly. The series is set to premiere on January 20th and also counts Alun Armstrong, Jessica Matten, and Allan Hawco among its cast.
Lastly, we have the final trailer for Peter Chelsom’s The Space Between Us. A science fiction drama from STX Entertainment, the film is set to arrive on February 3rd after being delayed from its original December 2016 release. Starring Asa Butterfield, Gary Oldman, Carla Gugino, and Britt Robertson, its story revolves around a boy who was born in Mars’ atmosphere and is thus confined to the Red Planet due to his body not being used to Earth’s gravity. When he finds love across space by chatting with an Earthbound girl, he sets out on a journey that could fulfill him emotionally, but also physically destroy him in the process.
