Nickelodeon’s Saturday Morning Cartoons used to be the stuff of legend. They had the strange, the funny, the adventurous, and the silly, making their channel constantly exciting and varied. One such show that broke was Gábor Csupó and Peter Gaffney’s “Aaahh!!! Real Monsters“, which introduced the world to Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm, three young monsters who are in school to learn how to scare humans. Their antics were silly and took children into the world of monsters, making them less frightening as we realized they go through the same circumstances that we do. After all, who could’ve imagined that monsters would have homework assignments, right?
While the show ended in late 1997, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people who are still fans of the series and the characters. One such person is Kevon Ward, who was a contestant on Syfy’s “Face Off” during the 9th season. He decided to create life-size sculptures of the show’s main characters and did so in stunning detail. One could easily expect them to come to life at any second!
