Mondo has announced that their final gallery of the year will be A Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-N-Nick-Nick-Nick…Nickelodeon Show!, which will feature original artwork from artists such as Florian Bertmer, Dave Perillo, Francesco Francavilla, Rosemary Valero-O’Connell, Sachin Teng, Ciro Nieli, Sara Kipin, and Janice Chu. Per the official press release, “the opening reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, December 9, from 7:00 – 10:00pm at the Mondo Gallery in Austin, TX (4115 Guadalupe St). The show will run through Saturday, December 17.”
Mondo Creative Director Mitch Putnam said “Nickelodeon was a huge part of my childhood. It represented everything cool and rebellious, and parents didn’t know anything about it. We worked with a number of great artists to pay homage to some of the channel’s most influential programming. We hope you have as much fun seeing it as we had making it.”
Below are some samples that will be at the show. Personally, I’m really digging the “Ren & Stimpy” one by Florian Bertmer. I grew up with that show and adore it to this day. I wrote a little piece about it over at Bloody-Disgusting, if you’re interested.
Sorry. No data so far.
