Thor: Ragnarok has gone through numerous iterations since work slowly began on it after the release of Thor: The Dark World in late 2013. Because of the numerous different drafts and rewrites, a lot of things have been in flux in regards to story and character for it over the years. Now that the film has a director, the film is being rewritten once more, mostly to play to director Taika Waititi’s strengths, as well as to make any necessary adjustments in regards to other Marvel films.
ComicBookMovie recently spoke to a long-time Thor cast member about it at all. Long story short, Jaime Alexander, who plays Sif, still isn’t quite sure if her services will even be required for the film…
“I am not 100% sure at this moment,” she explained. “I know that they’re changing things with the script and that sort of thing, so I am literally in limbo. I know probably less than you do about it. I would love to do it, but whether or not it’s going to work on my short hiatus from ‘Blindspot’ I’m not sure. There could be a lot of factors when it comes to that decision.”
So there you have it! Until the script is finalized and the film is closer to production, there’s really no telling how much (if any) screentime that Jaime Alexander might be getting as Sif in Ragnarok. The same goes for the actors playing the Warriors Three. Considering it is the final installment in the Thor trilogy, I hope they at least make the time to get her in there somewhere, even if only for a moment.
Sorry. No data so far.
