We have a little over a month until the second installment in Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment’s cinematic universe POW! WHAM! CRACK! and ZOOM!s its way onto theaters around the globe. After the product placement-themed TV spots for it that aired during the Super Bowl this past weekend, WB and DC have finally unleashed an actual new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It is also supposedly the final one that we will be receiving for the film, although I’m sure we’ll be barraged with constant new TV spots between now and March 25th.
The action looks stellar, especially Batman in motion. Say what you will about the narratives and themes of his films, but director Zack Snyder has always had an eye for action cinematography. The set pieces in this film should be great, regardless of the final quality of the overall story itself. It’s also nice to see a bit of Gal Gadot’s performance as Wonder Women, as well as Henry Cavill conveying an actual sense of surprise when Batman is able to hold his own against him.
Word on the film has been a bit mixed now that the first test screenings have taken place, but that’s par for the course when it comes to tentpole pictures. Did this trailer excite you more or less than the others? Feel free to chime in below or on our Facebook page with your thoughts.
