Geek has dished out some potential spoilers regarding Odin‘s (Anthony Hopkins) whereabouts in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. If you’ll remember, the final moments of 2013’s Thor: The Dark World revealed that Loki had now taken the throne of Asgard and was impersonating Odin. Many wondered whether Loki had killed his adopted father or had simply banished him to another realm.
According to Geek, the answer is the latter. Odin will be spotted wondering about Midgard (aka Earth) as an old raving madman who is ranting about the come end of days. Naturally, Thor will eventually come across him on our world. The script for this film has changed wildly since development on it first began a few years ago, with various drafts being tossed out left and right. That said, this does fit what our sources have told us about the current shooting draft. Anything can happen between now and the film’s release in November 2017, but for now, we’re leaning towards this rumor being true.
