New ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer Is a Rhapsody of Insanity!

Teased for weeks, the moment has come.  Tonight during their Dawn of Justice special on The CW, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment unleashed the latest trailer for David Aye’s Suicide Squad.  So how is it?  Does it excite and entertain as well as the last one did?  Watch below and find out for yourself…

Color me Task Force X-cited!  It’s loud, it’s colorful, it’s eccentric, and it’s…well…exciting.  While I still remain skeptical that Batman v Superman can bring the goods when it comes to these forthcoming DC Cinematic Universe films, based on what I’m seeing Suicide Squad has its back in that regard.  It looks as though director/writer David Ayer and his oddball cast have crafted an fun, irreverent action film set within the DC Comics world and I am absolutely on board for whatever ride they want to take me on.

Also, while I’m at it, earlier today WB released another new poster for the film, this time showcasing the main cast.  Check it out…

Ok, I bite my tongue, it looks great, actually it spammed me more excitement than BvS. But Killer Croc still doesn’t hits the mark for me, and he is the one I was most excited with way back when they announced the movie. Thought the post production would make it better than the previous released images but it didn’t.

I’m not too concerned about Croc to be honest (initially in the original photos I was a little meh) as it seems to be that they are going more for the original look of Croc, instead of the more modern take. They probably thought “wouldn’t take people too much out of the movie, as we are trying to be a little more grounded in – as much as it can be – reality).

I really hope that this, and BvS are decent. I actually have a funny feeling that S.S. will be the better of the 2 movies.

Yeah, I totally understand the reason they went the way they went, with something more practical and ‘humanized’ so people can co-relate somehow. They won’t do something more monstrous since he won’t be a threat but instead part of the main characters.

But I was expecting something more on pair with Batman TAS version, taller, leaner and a bit more clearer on the skin with a more subtle nose. That version would totally work as well, although I would love to see something more brutal like they did with King Shark on the Flash.

But well, I don’t think he will end having that much of screen time anyway. The trailer barely builds him, but it does look fun and his design will not throw me away.

King Shark was pretty damn good on The Flash.

Argh! That god damn “damaged” tattoo is actually in the film.
