Last year it was announced that DC Entertainment had a sitcom in development over at NBC. Described as an office comedy set in the DC Comics universe, “Powerless” would presumably see its original characters occasionally interacting with superheroes and villains on occasion. Unlike TNT’s proposed “Titans” series, which is now kaput, “Powerless” has now been ordered to pilot (hat tip to THR).
Should it go to series, it will likely be plugged into the Fall 2016 slate. Will the series use recognizable characters or B, C, or even D-tier ones? Probably the latter, given the amount of shows already taking up the known DC roster, I’m guessing it’ll be the latter. Providing that it has a good writing team and uses the characters…no matter how obscure they are…in interesting ways, I’m absolutely down for this.
