“Firefly” alum Jewel Staite has been cast in a guest role on The CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow“. According to TV Line, the geek favorite actress will be playing Rachel Turner, a “tech genius/roboticist who exists in a future in which technology has an even firmer grip on our lives than it does today.” She is also described as being the future descendant of a popular DC Comics character, the name of whom sadly has not been revealed at this time.
In addition to her role on “Firefly” and its follow-up film, Serenity, Staite has appeared in a variety of other genre programming. From “Flash Forward” to “Stargate Atlantis” to “The Killing” and numerous other shows, she’s kept herself pretty busy throughout the years. Here’s hoping she’s land a nice role in Turner.
“Legends of Tomorrow” premieres in two weeks on Thursday, January 21st, on The CW.
