Blake Jenner (“Glee“) will join the cast of CBS’ “Supergirl” in a recurring role later this season. The actor will be playing a character named Adam Foster, who is described as a “handsome stranger” with ties to Cat Grant’s past. Jenner just wrapped on Richard Linklater’s spiritual sequel to Dazed & Confused, the college-set comedy Everybody Wants Some. This casting reunites him with former “Glee” co-star Melissa Benoist, who plays the titular role of Kara Danvers, aka Supergirl. He also happens to be Benoist’s husband!
Is Foster an ex-lover of Cat Grant? Given that he will apparently be set up as a potential love interest for Kara and it will cause friction in her relationship with Grant, according to the producers, I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case. Will he also be set up as an eventual supervillain? You never can tell when Berlanti is involved! Regardless, the first episode featuring Jenner is expected to arrive in the second half of the season.
