ABC has announced the premiere date for the second season of “Agent Carter“. The Hayley Atwell-starring series will return on Tuesday, January 5th (9pm EST) with a 2-hour season premiere. The new run finds Peggy relocating to Los Angeles and getting herself into more espionage action as she tackles a new threat. In addition to its returning cast, this latest season also stars Wynn Everett as Madame Masque, Kurtwood Smith as Vernon Masters, and Ken Marino as Maggia crime boss Joseph Manfredi.

“Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”
The new season, which is set for 10 episodes, will run for 9 weeks all throughout January and February. The season finale is scheduled to air on March 1st. “Agents of SHIELD” will return the following week on Tuesday, March 8th (9pm EST), regaining its timeslot.
