Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has certainly taken a backseat when it comes to promotional releases this week and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very much excited to see the finished film in March, but there is such a thing as “too much of a good thing”. Sometimes, especially with marketing campaigns, it is best to let something sit and breathe for awhile, even if only for a short period of time. Instead of focusing on BvS, the folks over at Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ film division have set their eyes on David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.
Due to the latest issue of Empire magazine featuring the supervillain-filled film, we’ve been getting handfuls of stills and character covers all week. Today is no different. Below you will find some new high-resolution photos of the likes of The Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), and Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). I’ve also included an older image of Will Smith (as Deadshot) with director David Ayer above.
While many fans are gravitating towards Joker and Harley throughout the promotions of the film thus far (and rightfully so), the horror fan in me is gravitating more towards Enchantress and Killer Croc. I’m super curious to see what kind of tone Ayer strikes with this film and how it will sit as a piece of the new DC Cinematic Universe alongside the likes of Man of Steel and the aforementioned Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Check out the new photos below and don’t forget to look at the Joker-centric ones released earlier in the week and the character posters released yesterday.
