As Captain America: Civil War nears of the end of production, Marvel is starting to open the box a little and give us a peak at what they have in store for us next May. While they have yet to release the teaser trailer shown at this year’s D23 Expo to the public at large, they have now put out some concept art for the film. In addition to a look at Hawkeye’s new duds, revealed via Jeremy Renner’s Facebook account, we also have a look at how our Mighty Avengers split over their opinion on The Sokovia Accords and the idea of being federally-employed and regulated.
Not everyone is pictured, of course. We know that neither Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) nor Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will appear in the film, and that Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) is unlikely to play a large role, if he even appears at all. Still, even with this in mind, not everyone is present. General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (William Hurt), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) are all absent. There’s also the likelihood that some will switch sides throughout the events of the film. Still, it makes for a tantalizing glimpse at the division in the team to come, especially since Iron Man’s own squad appears to currently outmatch Cap’s.
Team Tony is comprised of Iron Man, Black Widow, War Machine, Black Panther, and The Vision. Very likely Maria Hill and General Ross as well.
Team Steve is comprised of Captain America, Agent 13, Hawkeye, Falcon (and “pet” pal Redhawk), The Winter Soldier (plus the not-pictured Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch).
