UPDATED: New shots of the teams new young members have been added! Check out Cyclops, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, and a closer look at Storm below!
As we continue to wait for the SDCC teaser trailer to be released, Fox has at least released some new production stills for X-Men: Apocalypse, via Entertainment Weekly. These new photos afford us our first look at Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and young Storm (Alexandra Shipp). We also get a few shots of returning characters as well.
Apocalypse seems a bit chummy with a few other them, leading me to believe that three of his Horsemen might actually be Magneto, Psylocke, and Storm. Pure conjecture on my end at this time, of course, and Isaac’s hands on the first two in the EW cover could merely be the trio posing for the magazine. Still, it’s hard not to read between the lines a little.
As for the photos themselves, the new costumes on display are far more colorful than anything else appearing in the previous Singer entries in the franchise. Has the franchise’s guiding vision lightened up and given his characters a more source material-appropriate look? Or is EW merely brightening the heck out of the shots for their new issues? Either way, it looks like the X-Men franchise is mixing things up a bit once more. Enjoy the shots below!
