You’ve gotta love over-zealous fans and their oddball discoveries! Sometimes they yield the strangest confirmations and in this case, it has been discovered that the Alberta Film Ratings Board has rated a new trailer for Zack Snyder’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. It snagged a PG, if you’re curious, which is typical for a green band trailer. We also have a running time: 2 minutes & 24 seconds.
It’s absolutely no shocker that a new trailer is headed our way tomorrow. The film’s Comic-Con panel is in the morning and it has been the practice of Warner Bros. in recent years to showcase a new chunk of footage (both old & new) to those within Hall H. A shorter, more trailer-sized version is generally released online later to the fans that couldn’t make it to San Diego and this is likely that very teaser.
There’s some scuttlebutt that the new preview might first premiere on Conan O’Brien’s show, since the talk show host is broadcasting from SDCC this week, but nothing has been confirmed at this time. Regardless, expect to have another chunk of footage from the film in front of our eyes soon. Here’s hoping it actually showcases a few looks of characters we have not seen yet, like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons’ Alfred Pennyworth, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, etc.
As much as I like Affleck and Cavill, it’d be nice to see some of the other cast members this time. Perhaps even a glimpse at Doomsday or Jason Momoa’s Aquaman? Show us something new, DC!
